Chelsea Vs Burnley: Chelsea was today humiliated twice, first by proving bookmakers wrong when they lost gallantly in a match they had 68 possession of the ball to 32 for Burnley, 2-3 and secondly for falling to the visitors before a home crowd at Stamford Bridge.
Burnley converted any chance they had at the 18-yard box to goal even as Chelsea looked better with nine men than they did with 11 men after Cahill, captain and Cesc Fabragas were shown the red card
They pulled all the stops to give Burnley a run for their goals, but at the end of an exciting 94 minutes match, they failed to find the back of the net, at least to draw level with the visitors. With all the time wasting, the goals, the substitutes and the sending-off, it was hard for Chelsea to regain their balance and prove they were the champions.
