The Kogi state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has promised to provide adequate security for NYSC members deployed to the state for their service year.
The governor gave the assurance at the closing ceremony of the 2, 075 corps members deployed to the state for the 2018 Batch ‘A’ mobilisation at NYSC orientation camp, Asaya, Kabba.
Bello said; ”The New Direction government of Kogi State is ready to provide the best working condition, cooperation and partnerships towards attaining the spelt out values of the National Service.
“Although, tribes, faith, orientation and exposure may differ, Kogi is indeed a confluence of opportunities known for hospitality and this reputation guarantees you all of safety and great promises in the land. Bound in brotherhood of one indivisible nation and feel at home throughout the service year and beyond,”.
Bello, who was represented by Mr Sani Salisu, the State Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, commended the corps members for their good conduct during camping, and congratulated them for holding the national virtue of good discipline.
He, therefore, urged the NYSC members to remain patriotic, loyal and play active role in the pursuit of the common goal of a united, strong and indivisible nation.
Earlier, the State Coordinator, Mrs Oludolapo Ahile, urged the corps members to play role models to their host communities and contribute to make them economically vibrant and self- sustained.
