The Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, has suspended its three months old strike with a warning: The lecturers would not hesitate to resume the strike should the Federal Government fail to fulfil the agreements reached with them.

The organisation also urged Vice-Chancellors of Universities to be open, receptive and accommodating to its members and warned that any act of victimisation would be resisted. Universities are likely to resume as from next week.
