Arsenal Hooks Iwobi till 2022 As Musa Joins Saudi Club

Nigerian Internationals, Alex Iwobi and Ahmed Musa have taken their skills to higher fields. While Iwobi has signed the dotted lines with the Gunners to stay at the Emirates till 2022, Musa has quit Leicester City FC for a Riyadh , Saudi Arabia base football club, Al-Nassr .

He said;‘It’s always been my childhood dream to represent Arsenal, from young. To get an extended contract is an amazing feeling and I hope I’m doing the Arsenal family proud, as well as my family.’

Unai Emery, Arsenal Coach was equally elated to sign him. “I’m very pleased Alex has signed a new contract with us,” said new boss Unai Emery.

“He is a great example of a player who can succeed from the academy through hard work and I look forward to working with him and our other talented young players in the squad.”

The Nigeria international found the net six times in 10 appearances at the Russian club, three times as many as he managed in his 21 Premier League appearances.

He scored twice at the World Cup, with both goals coming against Iceland in the Group D clash.

Al-Nassr  Saudi Club said Musa had signed a four-year contract but did not disclose the transfer fee.

The Nigeria international found the net six times in 10 appearances at the Russian club, three times as many as he managed in his 21 Premier League appearances.

He scored twice at the World Cup, with both goals coming against Iceland in the Group D clash.

Al-Nassr , formed in 1955, finished third in the Saudi-Arabian professional league last season, qualifying for the Asian Champions League play-offs.
