APC Constituents Beg Rep To Re-contest

The Plateau State House of Assembly complex on Tuesday became the venue of a jubilation as All Progressive Congress supporters drummed support for the re-election bid of Hon. Ibrahim Baba-Hassan, member representing Jos North -North Constituency, appealing to him to continue to accomplish all the electioneering promises and projects.

The former Deputy Speaker who is now a four- time member representing the constituency has been under  pressure to re-contest by his constituency until he seized the House premises to yield to the request.

Hon Ibrahim Baba-Hassan who cautioned against  the mass defections of the All  Progressive Congress ,APC, chieftains said it will directly or indirectly  affect the performance of the party in  the forthcoming 2019 general election .

Speaking to the constituents, he told them to overwhelmingly cast their votes for Governor Simon Lalong and President Muhammadu Buhari including all the APC seeking elective positions in the state on the party’s platform of APC family.

According to him, what had kept him going in politics of Jos North North constituency was his ideology of playing politics of togetherness and all inclusive by transparent and committed to people oriented program that can impact positive in the lives of his people.

He solicited the understanding of the defectors from the party to “come back home because you cannot build an edifice and later abandon the structure to someone else. That is not right. We all need one another to work towards the victory of the party.”
