Ahead of preparations for Nigeria’s 2023 elections, the Chairman of Allied Peoples’ Movement, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman, has called on Nigerians to vote for his party and reject both the ruling party, APC and the main opposition party, PDP, so as to restore the country’s glory.

Alhaji Mamman made the call during a special interview programme tagged “Political Roundtable” with our Senior Correspondents in Abuja.

He said that his party would work hard by putting in place programmes that will restore the glory of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Alhaji Mamman regarded the past 22 years of PDP and APC in the running of the affairs of the country as a monumental waste, which requires urgent attention by a serious minded group of people in APM.

He added that his party belonged to every common man in Nigeria, where there is no god-fatherism.

According to him, “You can aspire to any position in the party, provided you are capable and hard working”.
The APM Chairman enjoined Nigerians to shun vote selling and buying as the past years have served us enough lessons, calling on eligible voters to come out and vote and also defend their votes.

On the insecurity situation in the country, Alhaji Yusuf Mamman urged the present administration to overhaul its security architecture; give timelines for the new security Chiefs and support them with the wherewithals to effectively carry out their assignments.

In addition, the APM Chairman said that greatest lesson learnt from the present situation is that the government should cater for the welfare of all Nigerians by the provision of basic necessities of life as this will eliminate a breeding ground for disgruntled elements and miscreants, who will become thorns in the flesh of peace loving Nigerians.
