Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State has solicited the supports of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC) on the enforcement of environmental and sanitation laws in the state.

Governor Ajimobi stated this while receiving the Zonal Commander, Zone A and F comprising Southwest States, Assistant Commandant General Abdulwaheed Bamidele Popoola, in his office, Agodi, Ibadan.

Ajimobi said NSCDC had been at the forefront of helping the socio-economy of the country, especially Oyo State, reiterating the readiness of the government would continue to work with the security agency.

He said: “Support us when it comes to environmental activities in enforcing environmental and sanitation laws; making sure there is a full compliance”.

The governor who said Oyo State is strategically important in Nigeria, assured the security agency  of the state government’s unflinching support.

Earlier, the Zonal Commander, Zone A and F comprising Southwest States, Assistant Commandant General Abdulwaheed Bamidele Popoola, said the agency was ready to redouble its efforts in providing security in the country.

The security chief, who thanked the governor for his past supports, stated the agency’s readiness to further support the government.

Disclosing his purpose of coming to the state, Assistant Commandant Popoola accompanied by the senior officers of the Oyo State Command led by Commandant John Adewoye said:”. We want to sensitize students on security of their environment”.
