AIG Ali-Jos Decries Rising Cases of Drug Addiction Among Children

Former Assistant Inspector General ( AIG Turaki  Ali-Jos, rtd,  has decried the deplorably state of morals and falling standard of education in Nigeria, attributing the scourge to negligence by parent, religious leaders, teachers and  the global, new trend of technology.

Ali Jos made this disclosure at the first education summit organized by ITTIHADU ANWARIL, an organization for Arabia and Islamic principals of 500 primary school teachers in Jos North Local Government Area of the state .

The conference of the group with the theme; “Collapse of Our Schools and the Negative Attitude’s of our Teachers and Parents “, highlighted the consequences of falling standard of education and the contribution of children, parents, government and the community leaders.

According to the retired AIG , parents should not push all the blame on government because the government cannot be everywhere to guide their children.

Ali-Jos emphasized that the menace if not tackle will cost the society a great deal in terms of growing violence, extremism and drugs addiction with their destructive impact on the population of youths .

Meanwhile, the chairman of the occasion and convener, Alhaji Yusuf Yahaya said the body organized the meeting to identify the problems by interacting with the schools pupils, students on the rising cause crisis ,drugs addiction and high rate youth restiveness especially in Jos North LGA.
