Algerian, Mahrez free-kick that ended the journey for the Super Eagles

A Troost-Ekong own goal and a last minute well measured free kick from Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez was all Algeria needed to clip Nigeria’s Super Eagles wings and berth the final in the AFCON second semi-finals played today, Sunday.

The game ended 2-1, with an Odion Ighalo’s taken penalty kick levelling scores in the 72nd minutes

Algeria will face Senegal, who earlier beat Tunisia thanks to an extra-time own goal, in the final on Friday.

Nigeria will play third place match with Tunisia
