Abia Releases N6b To Road Contractors

The Abia state government has released N6b to contractors handling various road projects across the state for immediate recommence of work.
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu announced this during the 2019 Fathers’ Day celebration of the Men’s Christian Association (MCA) of the Presbyterian Church of Nigeria (PCN), Ogbor Hill, Aba.
Ikpeazu who was the special guest of honor at the occasion, also announced that work will start at the various sites of the construction projects next week.

The governor said during the same period his administration would donate 24 security vans to the various security agencies in the state to enable them contain with security challenges.
He used the forum to appeal to Christians to continue supporting him in prayers, promising to support the PCN in realizing its hostel project at the Michael Okpara University, Umudike.

Delivering a sermon on the topic” Who Is A Father,”a guest speaker the Rev. Madukwe Uguru described man as very important among God’s creations.

Uguru said for man to meet up his full purpose on earth, he must be independent emotionally and economically as well as submit himself to the will of God.

In an address the chairman of the planning committee of the occasion, Chief Jerry Kalu lauded Ikpeazu for his giant strides in infrastructure development and promotion of indigenous products.

He called on Christian fathers to reflect deeply on their performance as pillars of the church and their families specially in the area of spiritual commitment and sacrifices.

Kalu said that the church can only play her God-given role in society when men yield themselves completely to the leading of God’s spirit through their time, talent, and treasure.
