Retired Assistant Comptroller of Nigeria Customs, Da Gyang Dudu Daylop, was at the weekend honored with a Silver Star Award by the Comptroller General of Custom, Col. Hameed Ali, Rtd.
Da Dalyop, who is the President of Berom Educational and Cultural Organization, BECO, was invited by the Nigeria Customs Command and Staff College to her first ever regimental graduation dinner not knowing he would be honored with an award of excellence.
The award was for his outstanding contribution to the College and the Service.
Da Gyang Dudu said the award remains one of his highest honour both in and out of service.
According to him, the award will spur him to do more in terms of his pursuit of excellence and exceptional contribution to the service even after retirement.
Meanwhile, the officials of BECO have congratulated Da Gyang Dudu on the award noting that since he became president of the organization, he had demonstrated “ insatiable commitment to respond to the challenges of our people, especially in this 21st century which you personally tagged ‘ki pas e vwel berom'( new beginning).
“As your officials, we are confident that this award by your former employers will spur you to serve our people better”
